Skills Training and Excellence for Personal Success
S.T.E.P.S.
We seamlessly combine educational programming, community engagement, and person-centered plans to help our day habilitation individuals achieve their highest level of independence. This allows them to exercise personal choice and become active members of the local community.
Day Habilitation
Our S.T.E.P.S program provides assistance with acquisition, retention, and improvement of self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills, including performing activities needed for daily and community living. Activities and environments are designed to foster the acquisition of skills such as building positive social behavior and interpersonal competence, greater independence, and personal choice.

Independence — Goal Setting
Capability Health's overarching goal is to facilitate independent choice in activities of daily living and to provide the tools to become active members of the local community. Individual goals can include achievements such as independence in personal grooming, grocery shopping, gardening, hiking, participation in clubs and community volunteer activities, and even graduation to the Capability & Career Exploration Center where clients have the opportunity to explore paid work opportunities.
